About the Book

Summary

Season of Life

The Bay Area Season of Life Foundation seeks to improve familial and interpersonal relations by distributing the book Season of Life, free of charge, to community leaders, high school athletes, and the parents of these athletes. A New York Times bestseller written by Pulitzer-Prize winning author Jeffrey Marx, the book tells the story of Joe Ehrmann, once a star for the Baltimore Colts, now a minister who coaches high school football and is changing lives by teaching boys how to be men of substance and impact.

Season of Life is a powerful, graceful book that if appreciated and acted upon will make our world a better place. It is the Foundation’s hope that the book’s messages will promote a new, higher standard for those who read it, and that these people will pass along this wisdom to others. The momentum generated by this forwarding process will be enormous.

Distribution of Season of Life will be achieved primarily through a website that will be integrated with the Amazon.com back-end to assure a seamless fulfillment process. The website will be promoted via a combination of direct mail, email, and various media efforts. Financially, the Foundation will be supported by ongoing donations from individuals, corporations and other foundations, as well as by those who choose to purchase the book rather than accept it for free.

Jeffrey Marx has used the most violent of American games to show how men and boys should dare not be afraid to look for love. I was tremendously touched by Season of Life.

My son, husband and I all read the book within three days. You've inspired us to look at life with respect, care, and compassion. We've grown because of you.
